A Digital Bridge to a Child’s Learning

Sometimes, we do not see the full impact of a contribution when it is first made.

When Gergely Vajda offered his time and expertise to help REEC develop our website, we knew he was helping us improve the way we shared our work with the world. But we could not yet see how far that connection would reach.

Today, we are beginning to see the difference.

Through our website, people who had never heard of REEC before are discovering our work and learning about the challenges faced by children in rural Cambodia. Recently, a donor who found REEC through our website chose to support educational resources for 100 children at one of the schools we work with.

Those resources have now reached the children.

For them, these are not simply books or learning materials. They are new opportunities to explore, participate, play, and discover the joy of learning. Educational resources can turn a classroom into a more exciting place — where children can ask questions, try new activities, learn together, and develop confidence.

This is where Gergely’s contribution becomes much more than a website.

He helped build a bridge.

One side of that bridge is our rural communities, where children need greater access to learning opportunities. The other side is a world of people who care about education and want to help.

Because that bridge now exists, someone who wanted to make a difference was able to find REEC — and 100 children benefited.

And this is only the beginning.

There are many more children in rural Cambodia waiting for the same opportunities. There are classrooms that need books and learning materials, teachers who need support, and children who simply need someone to believe that their education matters.

We believe every contribution can become part of a child’s journey.

You do not have to build a school to make a difference. You can help provide learning materials. You can support a teacher. You can help a child receive a school uniform or educational resources. Every contribution can become something tangible in a child’s hands.
