Donation & Refund Policy
Donations fund our work with schools in rural Cambodia. If something went wrong with your donation, we will put it right.
Effective date: 4 July 2026
Donations to Rural Education Experts Cambodia (REEC) are voluntary gifts that directly fund our education programs, so donations are normally non-refundable once processed.
When we will refund
We will gladly review and refund a donation if:
- the same donation was charged more than once (duplicate transaction),
- a technical or processing error occurred,
- you entered the wrong amount by mistake (for example an extra zero), or
- the payment was made without the cardholder's authorization.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] within 30 days of the donation with:
- your name and the email or phone number you can be reached at,
- the donation date and amount, and
- the transaction reference from your receipt (PayWay receipt or bank record).
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (the same card, account, or wallet used to donate). We aim to process approved refunds within 15 business days; your bank or card issuer may need a few additional days to post the amount.
Recurring donations
We currently accept one-time donations only. If we ever offer recurring giving, you will be able to cancel future payments at any time by emailing us; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund past donations.
